Meet Your Stony Brook Orthodontist
Andrew Everett, DDS
“Orthodontics is a rewarding combination of art and science that allows me to use my head, work with my hands, and interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
I‘m passionate about creating a smile that allows your personality to shine. I get excited when I see children and adults that are truly self-conscious and uncomfortable with their smiles because I know that we can dramatically boost their self-esteem and confidence!”
Education & Experience
I attended dental school at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine, earning my Doctorate in Dental Surgery.
After completing my general practice residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, I continued to my three-year orthodontic residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.
During my time there, I served as chief resident and won the Herzberg Award, given to the top-performing resident.
Orthodontists vs Dentists: What's the Difference?
While dentists cover general oral health, orthodontists receive additional years of specialized training specifically in aligning teeth and jaws. This makes them experts at understanding the complexity of bite issues and facial aesthetics. If you're considering teeth straightening procedures, an orthodontist is the specialist you need for precise and effective treatment.
Metal Braces vs Clear Braces: Choose Your Path
Metal Braces: These are the workhorses of orthodontic treatment. Effective and often less expensive, they're the go-to for complex cases. Today's metal braces are also sleeker and more comfortable than ever.
Clear Braces: These offer the effectiveness of metal braces but with a more discreet look. Made from translucent materials, they blend in with your teeth, making them a popular choice among teens and adults.
Your Pathway to a Perfect Smile
For those in Setauket, both traditional and clear braces are the cornerstone of orthodontic excellence. These long-standing techniques have been successfully addressing a diverse array of orthodontic challenges for years. Utilizing cutting-edge materials, our braces offer unparalleled comfort and efficiency. Whether you're dealing with overcrowded teeth, spacing issues, or bite irregularities, braces continue to be the definitive treatment option. Their sustained appeal among teens and adults alike speaks volumes about their efficacy and dependability."
